Available direct from Quadtech or from your local quad dealer, this kit is intended to contribute towards making a utility ATV, more commonly known farm quad, legal for use on British roads; and contains many of the parts necessary to meet the requirements of the VOSA MSVA test where required for PLG registration.
Under latest VOSA regulations, all Agricultural registered vehicles used on the road by farmers need to be fitted with headlights, indicators, horn & brake / tail lights.
Although as a rule quads come fitted with a brake light, some Honda quads require fitment. The kit provides connections for front and rear brake light switches if required, with the option of choosing a front or rear power source for them.
Most modern quads have excellent headlights as standard, so only require indicators, sidelights and horn.
The standard sidelights & indicators in the kit are single moulding 20mm LED lamps with exceptionally long life, meaning no bulbs to change. They mount through the plastic of the front and rear fenders, so are nearly impossible to knock off or damage and don’t get in the way, standard bulb type indicators can be provided however if required.
Utility ATVs have high quality switchgear as standard with a large
range of functions built in. We looked to see what was available at present, and have developed a switchgear that sits on the handlebars between the original switchgear and the left hand grip. Made of similar plastic, with the same waterproof connectors, our OEM factory look switchgear allows easy operation of indicators, horn and hazard lights.
The kit will fit any utility ATV, and some leisure ATVs. Connection is made directly to the battery through a fused connector, and into the tail light.
Warning lamps for Indicators and sidelights are optionally available as is a digital speedometer for quads either not fitted with speedo or fitted with a KMH speedo that cannot be converted into MPH (not included in standard kit).
